New Sounds

One thing I love discovering when in a new place is the music. Lucky for me- Halifax has an amazing live music scene, which we have explored a little bit, but I can't wait to see more! As I mentioned in the last post, we went to the Summer Sonic festival, which was amazing- such a great atmosphere and amazing musicians (<3 Ben Harper!). But we've also been to a few more casual shows- there are lots of live mic nights and local bands playing which have been really great. Then on Thursday night a friend of ours invited us to come along to a proper concert at a local music hall, by Canadian folk band, Great Lake Swimmers. The lead singer has an amazing voice and they have a wicked banjo player.
